How To Pick Up Girls On Yelp

Yelp is a social review site that is growing in popularity. Here’s how to pick up girls there.

1. Write funny reviews. If you’re not funny then forget it, stick to buying table service in the club. Just don’t appear to be trying too hard.

2. Add a profile pic. Put up an good pic of you with as many beautiful girls as possible. Don’t worry if it’s obvious. There must be many many girls in the picture. If you don’t have one then just take one with some drunk girls in the bar this weekend.

3. Add friends. On Yelp you don’t need to know someone to add as a friend. Once you’ve built up a dozen or so quality reviews, start adding all the girls you find attractive. Add a couple guys too so you’re scheme isn’t too obvious.

4. Use her reviews as a conversation starter. Now this is where the magic happens. You’re going to use a review she wrote as a way to start a conversation. For example if a cute girl mentions “greasy Middle Eastern guys” in a club review, I can start a conversation about that since I’m a greasy Middle Eastern guy. There’s a lot of possibilities here so be creative, but more importantly, be funny. Make your message short and ask one question, two at most.

5. Converse. Have a fun back and forth conversation. Keep it light, breezy, and funny. After a few exchanges, if she’s still participating and asking you questions, ask her if she would like to get ice cream or coffee some time. Asking her out is your statement of intent, so you don’t need to do things like say “I think you’re cute” or “I like you” in your messages. Be cool. 6. Go to Yelp events. They throw happy hours with free food and booze every couple of months. If your reviews are awesome then people will come up to you and give you compliments (everyone wears name tags). Other girls notice that other girls are noticing you and it will be impossible not to walk away without a couple numbers. (Click on the Events tab in Yelp to find future events.)

Again, this only works if you have a good sense of humor and if you’re already interesting and successful with girls in person. Otherwise you must be incredibly good looking where girls just want to have sex with you. The only downside is the quality of girls on Yelp varies, many seem to be in a relationship, and the vibe is more professional than laid back. Remember: approaching in bars is only one way of doing it.

How To Pick Up Girls On Facebook

Facebook is harder to pick up girls than on Myspace because of the privacy filter. Girls on Facebook can set their profile so that you can’t even message them unless you are a friend or friend of a friend. The only option that leaves you is the poke.

You can poke anyone on Facebook regardless if you are their friend or not. It’s the only way to communicate with a girl you like, so it’s the method we are going to use to pick up girls on Facebook. But first there is one major thing you need to get in order…

Your profile pictures have to be awesome. And I mean AWESOME. The key is quality so get four or five of your best looking photos in fun settings. Have one at the party, one on the beach, one traveling, one serious and alone, and so on. Each one should show a strong part of your personality, because the girl is only going to skim the words in your profile. Your pictures are your profile.

You must also have at least one photo with an attractive girl, preferably many attractive girls. This is called “social proof” and it tells the girl that you are not a loser who has never spoken to a girl before. If you don’t have above-average looks, just take a little more care in which photos you upload.

Most of the work to picking up on Facebook is before you poke her. She will receive the poke, look at your pictures, and then if she likes them she will poke back. After that simply add her as a friend and get ready to message her.

Your first message should be composed of two things:

1. Make a quick joke. Something like “Hey… nice poking skill.” It doesn’t have to be involved.

2. Ask a question based on a piece of information from her profile. If she likes a band you also like, say “What do you know about Band?”

Hopefully that leads to a back and forth conversation where you can eventually ask her out for a drink. Remember the game here is numbers, so poke tons of girls and see which ones poke you back.

Flirting and building attraction is crucial when it comes to helping the girl decide that she wants to sleep with you. Before I knew how attraction really worked, I'd approach a girl and talk about boring topics such as work or her favorite movies, and then she would politely excuse herself from the conversation only a couple minutes into it. But now I know better. When you talk about more interesting topics, she sees you as more interesting. It's as simple as that. With a couple additional techniques, the "interesting" is turned into strong attraction.

How To Get A Girls Attention

There are two ways to get a girls attention, both of which are at odds with each other. The first is to emulate the guys you see in the catalog pages of Abercrombie & Fitch, J. Crew, Hollister, and Aeropostale. If those companies are experts at knowing the look that today’s young people want, then you should go for exactly that. But then there’s a problem..

Every other guy is trying to dress like that too. With so many clones out there it becomes a challenge to stand out and get more attention than them if a girl can’t tell you apart from the guy you’re standing next to.

A better strategy is to stand out. You want to look in a way that only a few other guys look. While there will be a much smaller percentage of girls who are into an alternative look, you will get the very strong attention of girls who do, meaning you have to a lot less work when it comes to approaching, attracting, or seeking them out. In many cases that make it extremely obvious that they want to talk to you with extended eye contact or smiling. All you have to do is say hi.

If you want to look different than all the other guys, you will have to buy things or accessories that is not readily available at your local mall. Usually traveling is a good source for these types of objects. But be careful: you don’t want to look like you are trying too hard. Don’t dress like a freak just to get attention if it doesn’t fit your personality. Just accentuate the flair that you want to achieve without adopting this whole other look that isn’t you.

Welcome To Pick Up Artist Mindset!

I started with a chance encounter of online pick-up advice in 2001, then built up my game over time into an indirect style where I don’t tell a girl that I immediately like her. There are many other related sites out there but with my site I hope to eliminate a lot of the fluff and dive right into sharing solid advice.

If you’re new here, sit back and first check out the articles. Get out an old notebook and take notes. Mastering pick up is a long process and it comes in stages of learning and then doing. A lot of guys make the mistake in thinking they need to know everything before they even talk to a girl, as if their desire to get laid isn’t enough to help them take things to the next level (it is).

My advice to you is learn just enough to get your foot out the door, and get out there and approach, approach, approach. The only way to pick up girls is to talk to them, so after a certain point the less you read my site the better. There is no substitute for experience.
